"Gerüchteküche" - kitchen of rumors

Made of wood and with an eye-catching design, the "Gerüchteküche" or "BesprechBar" is available to borrow as a small covered stand on wheels in the JoDDiD. As a mobile space, it makes it possible to discuss various topics over snacks and drinks. The rumor kitchen can be used in a wide variety of rooms and events. It can be set up in your own workshop or at the next symposium as well as in public spaces.

Ideas for using the material

If you are interested in borrowing the object, there are two options. You can borrow the stand, including materials on the topic of conspiracy narratives, as a "rumor mill" or use it as a "discussion bar" without any specific content. In any case, we recommend taking a look at our HOW TOs (see below). In addition to useful preliminary considerations for use, you will also find the technical data of the object and information on additional materials that are also available for you to borrow.

OPTION 1: How the "BesprechBar" is presented in a playful way and what it is used for naturally depends on the event in question, the organizers and the room itself. In order to offer you inspiration and stimulation, we have developed various elements that allow you to address a range of topics and discuss specific issues. It is entirely up to you which political education program you would like to use the object for. In our HOW TO BesprechBar we briefly present the individual elements of the object.

OPTION 2: Specifically, a concept including materials on the topic of conspiracy narratives can also be borrowed from JoDDiD. In this case, the stand is called "Rumor Kitchen". This deals with the question of how people can get into conversation with conspiracy believers in their own immediate environment. Would you like to try out this material? Information on borrowing

You can borrow the BesprechBar/Gerüchteküche free of charge for a one-day or multi-day event at JoDDiD. A car with a loading area that can hold at least the dimensions of the object is required for transportation: H 95 cm x L 146 cm x W 70 cm. It should also be noted that lashing straps are required to secure the load. The BesprechBar/Gerüchteküche is transported without the roof structure, as this can be dismantled and stowed in the object. Please refer to the HOW-TO for additional materials (e.g. drinking cups) that can be borrowed for the meeting bar/rumor kitchen.
