Mentoring-Program for early-career researchers and students
Funded by the DFG-coordinated program for gender equality, the women’s mentoring program for students and early-career researchers of TU Dresden supports its participants in establishing and evaluating themselves as well as in networking in the different phases of their scientific career.
All participants will...
- receive support in establishing and expanding their own network.
- train their interdisciplinary skills.
- receive information about follow-up programs and forums.
Program for students
The program is aimed at women students who have already reached their third semester in a STEM degree program and who are interested in actively shaping their professional future in science and research.
The students will...
- gain first insights into a scientific career as well as into the careers of women in research.
- receive useful information and knowledge about structures, processes and rules of the game in science.
- be empowered to better deal with the challenges associated with the transition from Bachelor to Master or from Master to PhD.
The Graduate Academy of the TU Dresden offers information and individual consultations regarding the topic of doctorate/ PhD, appointments can be made via the online form.
Program for early-career researchers
The women’s mentoring program supports early-career researchers in DFG-coordinated research areas in their scientific career development and by drawing the attention of various target groups to their research activities.
The early-career researchers will...
- improve key skills that will enhance their careers, e.g. by practicing presenting techniques in the field of science communication with different target groups in mind.
- reflect on themselves as a “role model” for the different target groups and, at the same time, on their own scientific career.
- actively participate in the promotion of early-career researchers.
Please also use the consultation option, information and further education offers of the Graduate Academy of the TU Dresden.
