Mentoring-Program for early-career researchers and students
The mentoring program for early-career researchers and students at TU Dresden supports participants in building, reflecting on and networking in various phases of their own academic career. It is aimed at students from the STEM fields who are interested in an academic career and would like to actively shape their professional future during their studies.
Table of contents
As part of the program, students gain a practical insight into everyday scientific life and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with scientists in a personal mentoring session. This enables them to get to know different career paths in science and learn how the theoretical concepts of their studies are put into practice. They are also familiarized with the structures, processes and regulations of the academic world, which gives them a deeper insight into how it works.
For early-career researchers from the Clusters of Excellence and DFG-funded research areas at TU Dresden, the program is a valuable opportunity to share their acquired knowledge and previous experience with students. At the same time, they can reflect on their own careers, expand their own network and further develop their skills in science communication.
Registration for our course in 2025 is now open. If you are interested in participating, please register by sending an informal mailing by March 14, 2025 to: mentoringprogramm@tu-dresden.de.
