The Rector, the Chancellor and four Vice-Rectors comprise the University Executive Board. Its main tasks include the continued strategic development of our university and all central affairs, which are specified in § 87 of the SächsHSG. Prof. Ursula M. Staudinger
As Rector, Prof. Ursula M. Staudinger chairs the University Executive Board and determines its guidelines. She is responsible for the structure of the university and
represents its interests externally.
Chancellor
Jan Gerken
Dipl.-Ök. Jan Gerken is head of administration at the university. Among other things, he is responsible for its budget and the areas of personnel, legal affairs, construction and occupational safety. As Chancellor, he may attend and contribute to any meetings of the university committees any time.
Vice-Rector Digitalization and University Development
Prof. Lars Bernard
As Vice-Rector Digitalization and University Development, Prof. Lars Bernard is responsible for strategies for digitalization in teaching, research and administration as well as for the responsible use of IT, for securing IT equipment and for IT administration at TU Dresden.
Vice-Rector University Culture and Internationalization
Prof. Roswitha Böhm
University culture and internationalization are drivers of scientific excellence and permeate all areas of activity at TUD: Research, teaching and transfer Prof. Roswitha Böhm is responsible for developing strategies in the Vice-Rectorate to establish a culture of mutual appreciation, the sustainable use of resources and international networking.

Prof. Niels Modler
As Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Across the Life Course, Prof. Niels Modler is responsible for the organization and quality of educational opportunities at TU Dresden, especially in the areas of further development of degree programs, digital teaching and learning opportunities, as well as didactic training in a university context.
