Tasks of the Department Hazard Alarm Systems

Tasks
The department is responsible for fire, burglary and other hazard alarm systems. A central hazard alarm system is located in the TLZ building, in which the subsystems are connected, centrally monitored and controlled.
Further tasks:
- Ensuring the functionality of the systems in daily operation,
- Administrative tasks, e.g. briefings on the use of site technology,
- Maintenance of centrally (and to some extent decentrally) managed burglar alarm systems,
- Coordination of the removal of defects by external companies and by own efforts,
- Supervision of the three large sirens of the city of Dresden located at TU Dresden
- Participation in the audits and periodic inspections in accordance with the Saxon Technical Inspection Regulations (SächsTechPrüfVO),
- Coordination of the accessibility for the professional Fire Brigade Dresden,
- Participation in approval tests and connecting fire alarm systems to the control centre of the fire and disaster protection office.
Upon hearing the alarm, the employees of the department are responsible for the cooperation between the Fire Brigade Dresden and TU Dresden. This is essential for a quick detection of a possible fire.
