University Culture
TUD Dresden University of Technology is developing into a globally oriented and at the same time regionally anchored top university for the 21st century. It thus fulfills a social function - for the members of the university as well as for civil society. With the profiling and strengthening of its university culture, TU Dresden is also becoming an excellent role model of a socially responsible, equal opportunity, diversity and cosmopolitan, sustainable institution that has an impact on society.

Our university culture in everyday life
University Culture at the TUD Dresden University of Technology is reflected in our daily activities - in our studies, research, collaboration and interaction with society. It combines our guiding concepts of resilience, sustainability and a focus on the common good and makes them tangible.
Four central topics characterize this culture:
1 Sustainability
We think sustainability holistically - ecologically, socially and institutionally. The TUD actively shapes change, in campus operations, in research and teaching and in its structures. In this way, we create the basis for long-term responsibility and future viability.
2 University and Society
We enter into dialog. Through engagement, cooperation and knowledge transfer, TUD has an impact on society, the economy and democracy and assumes responsibility beyond the university.
3 Diversity and Inclusion
Different perspectives strengthen our university. We promote an open and international community in which diversity enables innovation and everyone can contribute their potential. At the same time, we actively combat discrimination and create an environment characterized by respect, equal opportunities and participation.
4 Healthy University
High performance need good conditions. The TUD strengthens the health and well-being of its students and employees as part of its culture through prevention, supportive structures and a working and study environment that is sustainable in the long term.
