Living and experiencing inclusion at school and university - the digital self-learning portal "Fundus Inklusion"
Inclusion is a recurring topic in teacher training courses. At the same time, student teachers report that they feel insecure in dealing with heterogeneous learning groups and have little experience with inclusion-sensitive teaching and learning settings - according to the results of surveys conducted during the first funding phase of TUD-Sylber. When prospective teachers experience in university teaching how the diversity of learners can be considered and used in a profitable and appreciative way for the design of teaching-learning processes, they receive important impulses for their own teaching activities. This is where the Fundus In klusion comes in and is aimed at student teachers and trainee teachers as well as teachers at universities or training centers as a digital self-learning tool. The content of Fundus Inklusion is interdisciplinary and therefore equally relevant for school and university teaching and learning contexts.
Students and teachers can find suggestions for specific situations in the Fundus Inklusion in a problem- and question-oriented manner or gain a view of "the whole" with the help of numerous occasions for reflection and theoretical impulses. The underlying understanding of inclusion is broad and takes all learners into account in the sense of an understanding perspective and includes them in the learning process. The comprehensive self-learning tool offers, for example, case vignettes, typical stumbling blocks in teaching, downloadable work materials for teaching and informative texts on various inclusion-related topics. In addition, explanatory videos, podcasts and best-practice examples are available on the Fundus website as well as on its own YouTube channel. The Fundus team is happy to introduce interested parties to the use of Fundus Inclusion in a practical and cooperative manner. In digital workshops, student teachers, lecturers and other people involved in teaching can get to know the structure and functions of Fundus Inklusion and network with other people.
The Fundus Inklusion was created under the direction of Prof. Dr. Anja Besand and with the participation of project staff from the Chair of Didactics of Civic Education, the Chair of Construction Wood and Paint Technology and Interior Design / Vocational Didactics, the Chair of Primary Education / Mathematical Education and the Chair of Education / Mathematical Education with a focus on Inclusive Education as part of the BMBF project "Synergetic Teacher Education"(TUD-Sylber).
