Links & Partners
The CMCB LMF actively participates in the following imaging networks:
The BioDIP network currently consists of 11 facilities belonging to 5 different research institutions that in turn belong to three different research organizations. All of the research institutions are member of DRESDEN-concept, the excellence research alliance of the TU Dresden together with strong partners of research and culture.
The BioDIP provides around 100 instruments, among them more than 40 large equipment and covers a broad range of modern imaging technologies such as:
- Selective plane illumination microscopy (SPIM)
- Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS)
- Fluorescence lifetime imgaging (FLIM)
- Superresolution light microscopy (structured illumination and dSTORM)
- High-throughput microscopy (HCS)
- Electron microscopy
- Correlative light and electron microscopy
- Electron tomography and
- Image analysis
The CMCB LMF and the whole BioDIP network are active members of the German BioImaging Initiative which was founded in April 2017. The German BioImaging-Gesellschaft für Mikroskopie und Bildanalyse e.V. (GerBI-GMB, Society for Microscopy and Image Analysis) has emerged as the successor of the DFG funded German BioImaging network and is supported by the Carl Zeiss Foundation. The GerBI-GMB Society will continue to support microscopists and bioimage analysts as well as core facilities throughout Germany. For more information see here.
