Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM)
The program aims to develop a program of excellence that attracts talent from around the world through highly integrated institutional collaboration and mandatory individual student mobility.
As part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master, projects can be implemented that
- Demonstrate a jointly designed, unique and excellent academic curriculum and
- carry out an international master's degree with a double degree or a joint degree and
- are attractive to students from Europe and around the world.
Eligibility criteria

Degree program conducted by at least three universities in three different countries, of which at least two universities are from Erasmus program countries
Project duration

Six years (at least four years of a 1-2 year course)
Total budget

A maximum of 1,800,000.00 EUR to support the degree program and around 2,000,000.00 EUR in the form of scholarships

The application requires a certain preparation time. The Erasmus Mundus - Design Measures (EMDM) funding is used to prepare an EMJM application, see below.

Erasmus Mundus Design Mesure (EMDM)
The aim of the program is to prepare an EMJM application within the project period of 15 months.
As part of the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures, projects can be implemented that
- prepare an excellent master's degree with a double degree or a joint degree,
- provide for the participation of (a) program countries, (b) institutions and/or (c) thematic areas that are under-represented in Erasmus Mundus and
- Provide for measures that serve to prepare the application for EMJM (meeting of the consortium, administrative and scientific preparation of the application, staff costs, preparation of the program accreditation).
