It is possible to count the academic results from the partner university towards the credit points or grades at the TU Dresden. For the recognition of your academic achievements from the partner university please contact your study adviser after your ERASMUS+ semester.
With the study adviser of the specific field of studies, please fill out the following document and then bring it to your examination office. The basis to recognise your results is the Transcript of Records you received from the partner university after you completed your exams.

Bachelor und Master: Antrag auf Anerkennung von Leistungen (only available in German) and additionally the Anlage "Statistische Erhebung studienbezogener Auslandsaufenthalte" (only available in German).
-

It is advisable to think about the possible recognition during the formulation of the Learning Agreement. Contact the academic coordinators before your stay abroad to talk about the different possibilities (Table B from the Learning Agreement).
Here, you can find more general information by the International Office.
A database within the Mobility Online Portal offers various experience reports from students who spent time abroad. Those reports are a great source of information about the universities that have an agreement with the TU Dresden and our Faculty.
Writing an experience report is part of the ERASMUS+ program. All experience reports are collected and, after the author has given consent, will be published anonymously or with contact information within the Mobility Online Portal.
The database contains all the partner universities of the TU Dresden where students can study abroad. The reports contain personal experiences concerning the situation at the university, the housing situation and among other things how expensive the time abroad was and where the students were able to find help.
The study advisors can answer content-related questions about the curriculum as well as questions about the recognition of classes from the stay abroad.
Concerning organizational questions about your stay abroad please contact the ERASMUS-coordinators of the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies.

VISUM
For stays up to 6 months, no visa is required. However, during this time the purpose of stay is clearly limited to studies, students are not allowed to pursue a financially remunerated activity during their stay. As of 01.10.2021, entry for EU citizens is only possible with a valid passport (electronic passport - ePassport).
Those who want to stay for several semesters or for a whole study must apply for a student visa since January 1, 2021. The visa application can be filled out online and costs 348 British pounds - check out the British government's visa page for that.
Those on visas must also pay an Immigration Health Surcharge for access to the NHS, the public health service. A refund of the Immigration Health Surcharge is possible from the beginning of 2022. The detailed guidelines for reimbursement of the Immigration Health Surcharge are linked on the DAAD page.
