The Postdoc Center is a joint project of the TUD and the Helmholtz Centre Dresden-Rossendorf under the umbrella of the Graduate Academy.
Postdocs are given the best possible support in their career development with a wide range of offers - in science, business or science management.
These include Career Track Academia, Career Track Business and Career Track Science Management:
Career Track Academia:
Acquisition of competencies for a career in science, development of an independent scientific profile, opportunities to expand an interdisciplinary portfolio of competencies.
This includes various qualification and coaching offers, individual career counselling, events as well as the possibility to participate in the
Academia mentoring programme.
Career Track Business:
Within the framework of the Career Track Business, young academics with a doctorate are informed and advised about the transition from academia to business.
They receive the best possible support in expanding relevant interdisciplinary competencies so that they can successfully enter the non-academic job market.
Career Track Science Management:
Science management is a versatile and multi-faceted professional field that offers many different exciting career opportunities for postdocs at universities, research institutions, foundations and other science policy institutions.

Femtec.Alumnae e.V. (short: FTA) is the network for highly qualified, technophile and committed women with an academic background in MINT subjects (mathematics, information technology, natural science and technology). The vision of Femtec.Alumnae e.V is to bring about a long-term change in thinking in society that leads to an individual and responsible shaping of the professional and private environment (Frauen.Verändern.Gesellschaft.). In accordance with the guiding principle NETWORK LIVE. the FTA offers its members, supporters and partners numerous event concepts in addition to networking in regional and working groups.
The network "Women@DCC", founded by the Barkhausen Institute, the Dresden-concept office and the Diversity Management department, is dedicated to increasing the visibility of female scientists and science managers.
NExT - a forum for POSTDOCS from the various disciplines in the fields of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (BU) and Engineering Sciences (ING): NExT provides POSTDOCS from the schools BU and ING another opportunity to network, educate, and inspire. The focus is on promoting professional exchange opportunities between women from the different disciplines, as they are still very much underrepresented in both fields.
As a successor program to the Maria Reiche Mentoring Program, the Diversity Management at TUD is launching WHAT'S NEXT Develop your postdoc career! 2023 a new program phase for the target group of female postdocs and postdoctoral researchers. With this program, developed especially for this qualification phase, we would like to invite all female scientists at TU Dresden and at all Dresden-concept institutions to actively plan and advance their postdoc career.

Grant Writing Boot Camp
The Grant Writing Boot Camp at Marienstern Monastery is aimed at postdocs who are working on their own application to an external funding organisation.
Writing Retreat
Once a year, 20 members of the Graduate Academy and the Postdoc Centre have the opportunity to participate in our writing retreat at St. Marienthal Monastery.

The HZDR Alumni Network and the Postdoc Center HZDR-TUD jointly invite you to the regular Career Lunch Talks. Alumni with different professional and technical backgrounds report on their careers and networks and discuss current career topics with you.

Company representatives and experts will provide insights and practical tips. There will also be the opportunity to talk to former postdocs who will share their experiences on how to make the transition a success.

Support Programmes of the School of Engineering Sciences
The ING School uses its gender equality budget to support the organisation of summer, autumn or winter schools, workshops and similar measures to promote female students and scientists in the ING School. Furthermore, female postdoctoral researchers (academic staff up to a maximum of 12 years after their doctorate), junior research group leaders, habilitation candidates and junior professors in the ING School can be specifically supported with material resources.
