Growing technical demands with increasingly ambitious schedules inevitably lead to escalating costs in the construction industry without considering optimizing process flows. One approach of the construction industry is the holistic view of projects from planning to construction to operation using the Building Information Modeling method - in short: BIM.
So that BIM can be used regularly in the planning and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects from 2020 and the necessary information is immediately documented during construction, many construction machines have to be equipped with appropriate systems. The present project aims at the development of a modular measurement and data processing system for drilling applications in special civil engineering, which records the relevant parameters, processes them and then transfers them to a BIM ERP software. This means that drilling and pressing reports, service reports and inventory plans are created fully automatically. The completely modular and adaptive structure of the system, e.g. with sensors that communicate via radio, helps for easy retrofitting and exchange capability between different drilling rigs.
