Admission requirements
Prerequisite for admission to the course is a first professionally qualifying university degree recognized in Germany in an accredited engineering or environmental science course or a degree from a state or state-recognized vocational academy in an engineering, environmental science or comparable subject area.
English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are required. Proof is provided by means of a relevant certificate or language certificate. In particular, this can be a certificate of a university degree completed entirely in English or a language certificate such as TOEFL (at least 79) or IELTS (at least 6.0).

General information about the degree program
The Water Security and Global Change study program is a research-oriented course. The international English-language Master's course focuses on the planning, construction and operation of water management and hydraulic engineering infrastructure, in particular for adaptation to climate change-related extreme events in inland and coastal areas, physico-chemical, data-analytical and hydrological principles and the modeling of complex material flows in water-related systems. The program covers national and international guidelines and the development of water policy and social requirements. Further content includes practice-oriented case studies and current topics from basic and application-oriented research. The program also includes a combination of theoretical and methodical-practical principles in connection with water security in the context of global change.
Study contents
Particularities
The first semester is mainly spent in India at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Afterwards, a transfer to TU Dresden and then to RWTH Aachen University is planned.

Activities in the field of water resource management, water policy development and research, for example in water management and conservation organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, private consulting firms, scientific research institutions and freelance activities at home and abroad
