7. Degree programs with an aptitude assessment
In some degree programs/subjects, passing special aptitude assessments is a prerequisite for admission to studies. In other admission-restricted programs (e.g. International Relations or various Master's programs), special documents must be submitted for the NC selection process. The stipulations regarding admission-restricted (numerus clausus) degree programs and subjects will only become legally effective with the enactment of the Saxon Admission Numbers Ordinance (Sächsische Zulassungszahlenverordnung). As this ordinance, valid for one academic year (winter and summer semester), is usually not issued until June/July of the year by the Saxon State Ministry for Higher Education, Research, Culture and Tourism, all information in this overview is subject to change. You can find out about the current NC stipulations on the website once the 2021/2022 Saxon Admission Numbers Ordinance has been issued. Please note that separate application deadlines apply in case of admission restrictions (NC).
