Persons with disabilities – we are here for you
The 2013 TU Dresden Integration Agreement is a convention between the university management, the representation of staff with disabilities and the personnel representation council with the aim of improving the situation of persons with disabilities and chronic illnesses. It is one of the most modern agreements of the German university landscape and is based on the goals of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities, “to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity” (TUD Integration Agreement, p.1).
Apart from the Officer for the Disabled, TU Dresden has a representation of interest of staff with disabilities, who are both committed to improving the situation of employees with disabilities and special abilities.
The representation of interest of staff with disabilities is your point of contact for personal questions and problems.
The TU Dresden’s Officer for the Disabled assists you and your department in setting up the workplace that fits the ailment and suits the abilities as well as helping to apply for compensation for disadvantages.
