Gender equality policy is a core task and at the same time a major challenge for every university.
The TUD Dresden University of Technology is committed to the goal of a gender-equitable and family-friendly university and has also anchored this goal in its mission statement and Fundamental Principles. From the TUD's point of view, gender equality is closely linked to a family-friendly university - not in order to continue a traditional division of labor in families, but to create a work-life balance for all genders that makes it possible to reconcile careers with the realization of family plans.In recent years, the TUD has therefore taken increased measures to move closer to the goals of a gender-equitable and family-friendly university. With the Equality Concept 2025, we are striving to make gender and diversity aspects comprehensible and manageable for everyone by means of realistic, qualitatively and quantitatively measurable goals.
