Equal Opportunities
Gender equality policy is a core task and at the same time a major challenge for every university.
TU Dresden is committed to the goal of a gender-equitable and family-friendly university and has enshrined this goal in its mission statement and Fundamental Principles. From TU Dresden's perspective, gender equality is closely linked to a family-friendly university - not in order to continue a traditional division of labor in families, but to create a work-life balance for both genders that makes it possible to reconcile careers with the realization of family plans.TU Dresden has therefore taken increased measures in recent years to move closer to the goals of a gender-equitable and family-friendly university. With the Equality Concept, we strive to make gender and diversity aspects comprehensible and manageable for everyone by means of realistic, qualitatively and quantitatively measurable goals.
TU Dresden is a place of diversity! To achieve this, it is essential that everyone - students, employees and guests - feels welcome and can develop freely. Gender-inclusive communication is one of many building blocks on the way to achieving this. Against this background, these guidelines for gender-inclusive communication were developed in a far-reaching, participatory process at TU Dresden.
