Administration & Digitalization
Digitalizing administrative processes is a critical step toward becoming a modern, world-leading university. In this context, digitalization is intended to increase the efficiency of administrative tasks in order to create space for excellent teaching and research.
The digitalization of administrative processes is being primarily driven by (IT) projects. To manage these projects, the Digital Administration Governance was established to provide a general overview of the projects and their current status, and to facilitate overarching management decisions.
The Steering Committee Digital Administration, led by the CDIO and with input from the Chancellor, makes strategic decisions for the assigned projects. This includes prioritizing projects, approving project plans and monitoring the progress of projects.
You can find all the projects allocated to the steering committee in the project overview (internal area).
In addition to the Steering Committee Digital Administration, the Digital Administration Change Advisory Board (CAB) is an operational committee that facilitates constructive discussions among stakeholders regarding the implementation of TUD strategies as well as requirements and issues related to the digitization of administrative processes. The CAB reports on current developments in the digitization of administrative processes and the status of IT projects, and identifies any necessary adjustments (change requests) and strategic decision-making requirements. Under the leadership of IT multi-project managers, this committee includes the managers of digitalization projects, representatives of IT systems supporting administrative processes, information security and data protection, as well as end users.
You will find an overview of the IT systems supporting administrative processes in the System Overview page (internal area).
