The Mobility Compass can be used to search for scientists in the interdisciplinary research fields of mobility and transport in Europe. The Tool further provides an overview on perused research topics. For this purpose, users are offered various search criteria, such as research topics, research locations, conference participations, research institutions, number of cooperation partners and number of citations. Interactive visualizations are provided for topics and locations, e.g., a graph illustrating insights into the structure of selected research topics. The result of a search is a list of scientists who match the criteria and represent potential collaboration partners. More detailed information about the research activities of the persons are presented in the so-called dashboard. In addition to the list of publications, the dashboard also shows an insight into the scientist's network and further offers additional filters for a more detailed search. The Mobility Compass is based on the open source software VIVO and is developed within the Specialised Information Service Mobility and Transport Research (FID move) at the SLUB Dresden.
