Division of the Chancellor
The Chancellor is the head of the administration. The Division of the Chancellor also includes Unit Safety at Work, Unit Internal Audit and a project management office. All three report directly to and are supervised by the Chancellor.
Unit Safety at Work and Unit Internal Audit, both of which are required by law, act autonomously and are not bound by instructions, meaning they are able to fulfill their independent and objective auditing and consulting duties as effectively as possible.
The Project Management Office handles strategically relevant university projects, such as the establishment of the German Center for Astrophysics (DZA) as part of the structural change project in Lusatia. Due to its cross-disciplinary project work, it works closely with the various specialist Directorates.
