Volunteering
What contribution can a university make to strengthen volunteer work?
Universities have a societal responsibility. In this context, Technische Universität Dresden appointed a new Vice-Rector for University Culture in summer 2020. Striving to become an excellent role model of a socially responsible, equal opportunity, diversity and cosmopolitan institution that acts sustainably and has an impact on society. TU Dresden considers itself as a civil actor, which raises awareness and motivates its students and employees for the social responsibility of the university in different projects of social engagement. The lecture presents the profile and self-conception of University Culture with a focus on TU Dresden's social commitment as well as concrete projects and plans to establish days for volunteer work.
