Responsibility of the Project Manager
The one who has applied for a project is automatically managers and administrators of that project. He/She can and must decide which users can be added to the project and how the distribution of rights takes place in the project. He/she can as well grant additional users, permission to administer the project.
Permanent deletion of Projects
The permanent deletion of the project can be done only by ZIH. Please open a ticket via Service Desk.
Reference to Data Privacy
On the FusionForge system, there are several hundred GB of data, which are currently spread over about 400 projects. All of them are not intended for general public . Please reconsider and review the access rights of all projects for which you are administrators / owners.
Mainly this involves the question, to what extent information without authorization is visible to others, especially for Google co. The open source projects is visible without authorization and the software 'FusionForge' has been primarily intended to fullfill this feature. But that is no longer wanted at papers. Projects can be hidden in FusionForge.
To manage anonymous access, please login to the system, go to your project, select the tab "Manage" and then "Users and permissions". There you will see on the left side the project members, and on the right side the used roles. Further down on the right side there is, the section "Currently used external roles". Still under that "Available external roles". When one links the list the selectable role "Anonymous/not logged in (global role)" to his/her project, the project can be viewed and traversed all over the world. Once the project is linked to the role "Any user logged in (global role)", every logged in users can look in your project. Currently behind each role, which is linked to the project , there is a 'unlink role' button. Thus one can prevent such access. The rights of SVN, GIT und Co. are set by Cronjobs, which run all 20 minutes. I.e. may take 20 minutes, until a click on the access rights shows the corresponding effects.
New projects are created by default as private. Please check the linked roles after creating the projects.
