Horizon Europe – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions support the career development of scientists across Europe and worldwide. Excellent young scientists expand their competencies through mobility, training, networking and supervision. In this way, individual skills and institutional structures are developed.
1 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
Postdocs apply together with their host institution for a European or global fellowship for two to three years.
2 MSCA Doctoral Networks
Doctoral networks between European institutions (academic, non-academic) apply to support 10 - 15 PhD students in their career development.
3 MSCA Staff Exchange
Scientists at all career levels as well as technical and administrative staff are given the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills through research stays abroad.
4 COFUND
Support of existing and new programs aimed at the training, mobility and career development of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers.
5 MSCA & Citizens
Activities addressed to the general public in the framework of the European Researchers' Night.
1 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships
Postdocs from all over the world can apply with the host institution. As a PostDoc, you may have a maximum of 8 years of professional experience in the field. In addition, you may not have worked or lived in the country of the host institution for more than 12 months in the last 3 years prior the call deadline. The application is always submitted together with the supervisor of the host institution.
2 MSCA Doctoral Network
Depending on the type of network, three institutions from three different EU Member States or Associated States are required; at least one participant from an EU member state. In addition to the simple Doctoral Network, there are Industrial Doctorates Networks, for cooperation with industry, and Joint Doctorates Networks, for double degrees.
3 MSCA Staff Exchange
Consortia of at least three institutions from three different EU Member States or Associated States. Institutions are from the academic and the non-academic sector. Institutions from so-called third countries are welcome to take part in the project.
4 COFUND
Institutions in EU member states or states associated to HEU can apply for COFUND measures. Consortia and applications from individual institutions are possible.
5 MSCA & Citizens
Institutions in EU member states or states associated to HEU can apply.
Who is eligible to apply differs depending on the MSCA funding line:
- Postdoctoral Fellowships: PostDocs with a maximum of eight years of full-time experience together with the respective host institution.
- Doctoral Networks: International consortia are eligible to apply. The beneficiaries are the respective institutions.
- Staff Exchange: Consortium of at least three institutions.
- COFUND: Institutions in EU member states or HEU associated countries.
- MSCA & Citizens: Institutions in EU member states or HEU associated countries.
