In view of the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine, we have designed craft sheet on peace based on material we developed some time ago for the Federal Agency for Civic Education.

BACKGROUND

Ideas of peace have evolved historically and culturally and often differ in key respects. Alongside pacifist ideas, which emphasize that peace begins with the peacefulness of each individual, there are ideas of realism, which refer to peace through deterrence. The arts and crafts sheet encourages discussion about historical and contemporary concepts of peace. Learners can position themselves and discuss their ideas of peace.
