ERASMUS studies in Europe
Announcements
The International Office is looking for tutors for 2023/24.
Still ERASMUS spots available
You are welcome to apply for a remaining ERASMUS spot for the winter semester and/ or summer semester 2023/ 2024. The following applies to the allocation of remaining spots: "First come, first served." The ERASMUS places are allocated subject to the approval of the partner institutions and as long as registration at the partner institustions is possible. Depending on the submission date of your application, you may only be able to study as an exchange student in the 2024 summer semester.
Please check Mobility-Online for the partner universities of the faculty.
- Please check the Mobility online portal for possible countries and universities in accordance with academic and language requirements.
Here you can find details about the universities and experience reports from students (please find them in the extra tab "Erfahrungsberichte").
Select in the field "Programm" > "ERASMUS+ Studies (Europe)" and in the filed "Fach" > "Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik". - Our partner university in Switzerland you can find in the field "Programm" > "Swiss European Mobility Programme". This programme is regulated otherwise. Please get in contact with the ERASMUS coordinator.
- When planning your stay, please note that the semester periods abroad often do not match those in Germany.
The majority of our partner universities offer English-speaking courses or degree programs.
Further information on the individual partner universities can be found in the Mobility online portal and in this overview about study possibilities and English taught offer.
Fill out the online application form (ERASMUS+ form).
Please upload your transcript of records as well as your language certificate.
An application guide (in German only) will help you with the first steps of your application.
The Learning Agreement has to be handed in only after the placement.
You will receive further information after the placement procedure.
Based on this application, the ERASMUS coordinator will assign a study place at one of your preferred partner universities, taking into account your academic achievements, study progress and language skills. This completes the first step - applying to the faculty.
The application period for ERASMUS studies in the academic year 2023/2024 (winter semester and/or summer semester) ends on January 31, 2023.
Please find detailed information on this website of the TU Dresden International Office.
The Learning Agreement is part of the application to the partner university. It is, among other documents, mandatory to receive the ERASMUS grant (mobility grant).
The Learning Agreement will specify which courses you would like to take at the partner university. You should achieve 30 ECTS per semester. Maximum around 6 of the 30 ECTS can be obtained for one or more language courses. The main part of the courses should be from your own study field.
The International Office provides detailed information, see here top "0.3".
If you need/want to change your original Learning Agreement during your ERASMUS stay, please read here, top "After your arrival abroad".
Please note: If the recognition is not to be agreed provisionally, table B remains free and you choose "Wenn Du keine (Vorab-)Anrechnung wünschst bzw. die Anrechnung aufgrund der Besonderheiten in Deiner Fakultät/Ihrem Institut anders gehandhabt wird." with the possible reason "I will apply for recognition after my mobility according to the internal rules of the TU Dresden." In this case, the ERASMUS coordinator will sign the Learning Agreement. Accordingly, table D (during the mobility) also remains free.
Please note that you still have the possibility to apply for recognition after the stay abroad.
If the recognition should be checked in detail in advance, please fill in table B. In this case the examination board will sign the learning agreement after checking.
Further information on recognition
Information on the recognition of academic achievements during the stay abroad can be found here (in German only).
ERASMUS students are advised to take a leave of absence for the duration of their study abroad. The leave of absence is counted as a university semester but not as a study semester (Fachsemester) and therefore no study time is "lost". Please consult the Admissions Office for advice on this.
It is possible to convert a semester of leave into a semester of study at a later date, depending on the credits earned. Please read here (in German only).
You can contact the Lehrzentrum Sprachen und Kulturräumeen (LSK) of the TU Dresden for the translation of the language certificate for free. Please allow for processing time.
TUDIAS provides English certificates for a fee.
You can receive an English-language transcript of records from the Examination Office.
