Selection within the quota of individuals with vocational qualifications in location-based degree programs with restricted admission
If you do not have a German Abitur, but are qualified to enroll in university via your vocational qualifications pursuant to § 17 para. 3, 4 and 5 of the Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony, you will be included in the numerus clausus (restricted admission) selection process within the quota of individuals with vocational qualifications pursuant to § 29 para. 2 no. 5 of the Saxon Regulations on the University Selection Process (Sächsische Studienplatzvergabeverordnung) (1% of slots). Selection is based on your grade point average in your advanced vocational training program or as part of the examination certificate you receive for your university admission examination at TU Dresden. Detailed information about which prerequisites are required to be included in the quota of individuals with vocational qualifications can be found here:
Eligibility for inclusion in this quota is determined by the type of university entrance qualification relevant for your desired studies that you provide in the application portal:
- a general university entrance qualification (aHR) for individuals with vocational qualifications, or
- a subject-specific university entrance qualification (fgHR) for individuals with vocational qualifications
- as well as the grade point average you indicate.
If admitted, in order to enroll, you will be prompted to provide proof of your university entrance qualification as an individual with vocational qualifications via the submission of a copy of your examination certificate as well as certification that you took part in a consultation with our Central Student Information and Counseling Service.
