School meets university – workshop for career orientation at universities on September 28, 2022
Our “School meets university” workshop series continues!
On September 28, the topic will be selecting a degree program. An academic advisor will kick off the event by providing insight into how to meet the challenges of decision-making and presenting a tried-and-tested workshop for school pupils. We will then introduce specific programs offered by Dresden’s universities that could make important decisions easier for the pupils. The main focus will be on services by and with university students. How are students who themselves just recently had to make a big decision included in order to support pupils in making their own decisions? We would like to discuss appropriate workshop setups with you and learn about your experiences.
This workshop is recognized by the Saxon Education Agency (LASUB) as a professional development course.
We kindly ask you to register via the TU Dresden continuing education catalogue by September 21.

University for ALL: Inclusive study orientation – support for inclusion assistants and teachers
TU Dresden grows from the diversity of all our members and pledges to think inclusively, considering the fair, non-discriminatory and self-determined participation of all people with disabilities and chronic illnesses in all areas of the university and thus contributing to the development of an inclusive university.
In this context, prospective students with disabilities can receive support during their transition to university. The point of contact for schools at TU Dresden is inviting teachers, inclusion assistants and parents who advise pupils with disabilities to a networking event for inclusion assistants and teachers on November 9, 2022, so they can familiarize themselves with the support offered. There you can find out about inclusive construction practices and building structures at TU Dresden and get to know the opportunities for assistance, service and information for new students with disabilities. We also have an event planned for pupils and parents at the end of the year.
