Good Practice Day for School Projects
The last Good Practice Day took place on March 11, 2024.
The aim of the format is to showcase the large number of exciting projects at TU Dresden and our cooperation schools, to enable exchange and to learn from each other. We therefore cordially invite all project providers and representatives of cooperating schools to join us at TU Dresden. You are welcome to present your own project here with a poster or demonstrators. Through various exchange formats, those present can get into conversation with each other, develop project ideas and exchange ideas.
Looking back:
Good Practice Day 2024
The second Good Practice Day on the topic of "School Projects" took place on March 11, 2024. Around 50 participating scientists and employees of TU Dresden as well as school administrators and teachers from Saxon schools took part. The aim of the event was to promote networking between universities and schools, to offer the opportunity to present their own projects or to gain partners for new ideas.
The following topics were also discussed in thematic open sessions:
1. communication & addressing the target group
2. reconciling supply and demand
3. internal exchange for TU Dresden offers
The event once again showed how strong the need is for greater networking between university and school and for science communication formats for students. The Good Practice Day of the TU Dresden School Contact Point serves as a platform to communicate these needs and to establish new or deepening contacts and thus improve internal and external communication.
Good Practice Day 2023
The first Good Practice Day took place at TU Dresden on March 17, 2023 with over 60 participants . The aim was to learn from each other, share successes and initiate an exchange between new project providers and existing projects.
After being welcomed by Vice-Rector Academic Affairs, Prof. Kobel, Dr. Walther gave an insight into the experiences of a Thuringian learning location(witelo e. V.). The"Particle World Network" and the School-TU Dresden working group then introduced themselves. The orientation projects for schools and students were presented in an elevator pitch, followed by a market of opportunities.
After the lunch break, three parallel workshops took place:
For newcomers to the topic, the workshop was used to address schools, for experienced project providers there was a workshop on designing STEM all-day programs, and in the third workshop, materials for school lessons were presented.
