Duties of Personnel and Students

The personnel and all students have to inform the Radiation Protection Office immediately in the following cases:

• Accidents or hazardous incidents during Operations with ionizing radiation

• Finding of radioactive substances or nuclear materials.

Duties of the Group or Department Leaders

The Group or Department leaders are indebted to inform the Radiation Protection Office early enough before the beginning of following operations in order to arrange these plannend operations:

• Purchase, acquisition or use of any radioactive substances or nuclear materials even below the legal
  limits of the StrlSchV

• Purchase, acquisition or use of X-ray emitting devices
  

• Purchase, acquisition or operation of stray radiation emitting devices
  

• Purchase, acquisition or operation of accelerators

• Operations with ionizing radiation in non-TU Dresden facilities

Duties of the Radiation Protection Officers

Radiation Protection Officers have very many duties. They are defined in the StrlSchV or RöV and in their Apppointment Document (among these is the recorded radiation protection instruction of the personnel in their responsibility area each year).
