What Is Our Job?
The Radiation Protection Office is your partner in all tasks
and questions concerning the protection from ionizing
radiation. It manages the following tasks:
- Communication with all radiation protection
authorities
- Preparation of all license applications or notifications
of the authorities in tight cooperation with the involved
users
- Submission of all license applications or notifications to the authorities
- Managment of all existing licenses and notifications at TU Dresden
- Appointment and cancellation of all Radiation Protection
Officers according to StrlSchV und RöV at TU Dresden to their
positions.
- Advisory service for the Radiation Protection
Officers
- Coordination of the personal dosimetry
- Coordination of the required medical
examinations
- Management of the Radiation Passports
- Permission of operations with ionizing radiation by TU
personnel in non-TU Dresden facilities
- Permission of operations with ionizing radiation by non-TU personnel at TU Dresden
- Management of the Central Source Storage
- Coordination of transports of radioactive substances materials
- Coordination of discharges of radioactive wastes
- Management of all operations with radioactive substances
or materials which do not require a license or authority
notification
- Management of all operations with stray radiation sources which do not require a license
- Advisory service for questions concerning use or operation of radioactivity or X-ray emitting devices.
