Helga Nolte is a mediator and coach (systemic) and works as a freelance lecturer and consultant on the topic of good scientific practice. In addition, she has headed the Ombud Office at the University of Hamburg since 2013.

Before that, she was a staff member of the supra-regional body "Ombudsman for Science" from 2005 to 2012 and managed its office. In the context of this activity, she was involved in the development of the curriculum for courses on good scientific practice (PD Dr. Dr. Gerlinde Sponholz).

Since the end of 2010, Ms. Nolte has regularly conducted seminars and lectures in English and German on the topic of good scientific practice. She is a member of the Scientific Integrity Team  and in the "European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO).
