Compliance in administration
Table of contents
With reliable working and organizational structures, the TU Dresden administration aims to maintain service-oriented and solution-oriented operations, while meeting the standards expected of a University of Excellence.
To this end, internal regulations, mission statements, strategy papers, circular letters and target agreements are implemented on a regular basis.
Established enforcement and sanctioning mechanisms are in place to ensure that the university acts in compliance with governing laws and regulations. The university uses official and professional authority to issue instructions and relies on auditing bodies, monitoring bodies and corrective bodies at various levels (e.g. customs, auditing and tax auditing, courts of audit, internal auditing), the dual control principle, sound documentation and file management. Moreover, these strategies are also in place to raise awareness of potential risks, enable prevention and safeguard specific areas (such as data protection, radiation protection, etc.). In the case of (potential) misconduct, these mechanisms facilitate corrections and, if necessary, sanctioning.
