Dialogue in Event Series Pillars & Umbrellas: Meet Feminist Tech - Diversifying Insights in Data and AI
Under the guidance of Dr Sandra Buchmüller, visiting professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Dresden, the CitizenScience.AI project at ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig invites you to a colloquium in the winter semester 2023/2024. We will read and discuss current texts on the topics of Feminist Tech, Data, AI on the following three scheduled dates:
Donnerstag, 30.11.2023: 13:00 bis 14:30 Uhr

Montag, 15.01.2024: 16:00 bis 17:30 Uhr
Kate Crawford (2021): Atlas of AI. Power, Politics and the Planetary Costs of Artificial Intelligence
Dienstag, 23.01.2024: 14:50 bis 16:20 Uhr
Kate Crawford (2021): Atlas of AI, focussing on the chapter Conclusion.Power

We understand the colloquium as an open reading and discussion format in which everyone can participate in terms of time, place and content as they see fit. Consequently, sporadic and even shorter participation than the scheduled colloquium duration is possible and the submission of text suggestions is highly encouraged!
Meetings in smaller groups on dates other than those currently announced are of course also possible.The first meeting will be held in German. If you wish to discuss certain topics or texts in English, please contact us in person or by e-mail.
