Didactic commentary:
"Democracy" - many people know this term. But that doesn't mean that we all associate the same ideas with it. This simple poster can help to make the differences between the various ideas visible. What do I focus on when I reflect on my own ideas? Freedom or equality? Autonomy or participation? Depending on which direction the participants tend to take, it can be useful to introduce different impulses as part of a joint reflection. For example, if the participants tend to interpret democracy primarily as freedom, which is restricted, for example, by speed limits on the freeway or the wearing of masks in public places, it is a good idea to make it clear that democracy is not the opposite of rules, but on the contrary regulates how we get to generally binding rules by means of a specific procedure.
What is also necessary:
The poster can be used to check points - but if there are no sticky points to hand, the location can also be made visible with the help of markers.
