Creating a Dialogue between Research and Teaching
Teaching plays a crucial role in the broader distribution of our research at the CRC. Over the last years, we have thus dedicated individual sessions as well as entire classes to our work on practices of disparagement in American popular culture. In turn, this engagement of our students - their valuable ideas, remarks, and questions - has enriched our research and helped to shape our thinking, especially regarding some of our primary material. Moreover, this continuing dialogue is meant to encourage students to think of themselves as emerging scholars, gaining their interest in our research at the CRC in particular.
