M2BRIDGE

M2BRIDGE aims at a sustainable and long-term partnership of the TU Dresden with the University of Patras. Based on the cooperation history of the ILK and MEAD, new research projects are to be initiated, joint teaching expanded and the institutional framework of the cooperation strengthened in 2023-2025. The project exploits the synergies between the excellent material sciences and lightweight engineering of TU Dresden on the one hand and the long experience of UoP in aeronautics on the other hand and brings together the complementary competences in the field of functionally integrative lightweight engineering and multi-material design.

COMPOLL

The main vision of the bilateral project COMPOLL is a better understanding of the challenges, shortcomings and solutions regarding the pollution awareness in the two countries, India and Germany. The main aspects will be identified on the ground of comprehensive dialog. As the initial point, it is planned to tackle this goal by the holistic analysis and meta-integration in terms of environment improvement of five priority research areas at the TU Dresden.

EDI:TUD

The project "Successful - Digital - Integrated: Studying at the TU Dresden (EDI:TUD)" aims to closely accompany international students on their entire path from the beginning of their studies to graduation. This is intended to avoid dropouts, shorten the overall duration of studies, improve study results and facilitate integration into TU Dresden. It relies heavily on the close networking of German and international students.

The leading scientists worldwide collaborate interdisciplinary to find joint answers to the questions of our time. In its 28-year history, the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) has always been committed to doing just that: networking worldwide and complementing its own competences with the expertise of international partners. A broad international network with leading research institutes has been established at all levels - from student exchanges and guest researcher stays to the implementation of joint international projects - and this network continues to grow from year to year. Our strategic focus lies in establishing cooperation with proven partners in India, South Korea, Singapore, China and Greece, as well as on further fostering cooperation with Poland and Great Britain in the areas of education, digitalisation, joint research, transfer and dissemination of knowledge.
