• The language courses take place in groups of up to 12 and are taught by native speakers.

• Participants agree with their respective trainer on specific course objectives and contents at the beginning of the course to ensure you feeling fully supported for using your English in your day-to-day. There may also be the possibility to consider documents from your work or projects in the course.

• You will improve your communication through different activities such as role playing and discussions, simulating realistic situations from your work.

• You will learn strategies for developing and using the specific technical vocabulary you need in your field and get tips for working in an intercultural academic environment.

• You will be supported by Linguarama Connect, Linguarama's online language learning program that specializes in business language. You have access to this learning program both during your training and 12 months after the end of your course.

• After a successful participation in the course (i.e. attendance rate of at least 80%) you will receive a certificate of attendance which will be credited for your SprInt certificate.

• This training can be credited towards the Language Expertise and Excellence certificates.

Duration:

Each course consists of 40 teaching units, each session usually comprises of two teaching units of 45 minutes. We plan to start the courses at the beginning of November 2024.

Registration and placement test:

Enrollment for the winter semester is closed.

Participation in only one English course is required to obtain the SprInt certificate. As the English courses are currently very popular, we would like to offer all interested participants the opportunity to complete an English course. If free places are available, these can be assigned to SprInt participants who have already taken one or more English courses.

We would like to inform you that the courses in the winter semester 2024/25 will again take place in an online setting.

Upon completing your registrationg, you will take a placement test (consisting of written and oral tasks). If you have already taken a placement test because you registered for a course last semester, you do not need to take a new placement test. Once the test has been completed, groups at similar language levels will be formed.

You will then be notified of the course date and receive the link to attend. If you included any additional comments on your registration form, e.g. regarding course topic or course date, these will be taken into account to the extent possible. However, the composition of the groups and your previous knowledge have priority for the creation of an effective learning experience.

Absences:

Successful completion of the language course requires an attendance of at least 80%. If you are unable to attend, please inform the trainer directly. If your attendance rate in the language course is below 50% and you have not informed the trainer, an attendance restriction of six months will come into effect and you will be unable to participate in our events during this period.

Information of data protection:

In compliance with SprInt’s data protection regulations, your personal data will be transferred to the external course provider linguarama, who then take over the rest of the organization. Your data will be used exclusively for the purposes of organizing the language courses and will not be transferred to third parties.
