Project S02
Clinical studies and biobanks
The overall objective of S02 is to provide a strong research platform to enable multicenter clinical studies under optimal and efficient conditions, resulting in high quality data. To achieve that, S02 will use and improve the already successfully implemented registries, eCRFs, biobanks and common virtual research environment of the CRC/TRR. In addition, S02 will provide the infrastructure for new multicentre clinical studies, allowing the clinician scientists of Z01 to participate in these new trials. For the second funding period, S02 has four aims:
Aims
(I) Provide the necessary infrastructure for clinical studies and trials for ongoing and new projects of our network.
(II) Support of clinical trials and research protocols of CRC/TRR projects.
(III) Biobanking: prospectively collect patient specimens using the highest possible standards for pre-analytical processing, storage and retrieval of materials and data in a uniform way in all CRC/TRR centres.
(IV) Foster bridging of cross-disciplinary basic and clinical research.
S02 is essential for the many projects that rely on clinical data and biomaterials and contributes to the overarching goal of this CRC-TRR to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with adrenal diseases.
