New proposals for TU Dresden's teaching strategy
Until now the three working groups of the "Teaching Strategy sTUDium 3.0" have developed a total of 21 proposals for the optimisation of teaching at TU Dresden. From the end of August, the development of new proposals will go into the next round.
Sprints are also tiring in the long run, which is why the working groups of the sTUDium 3.0 teaching strategy are currently on summer break after continously working for seven rounds (cycles with three sprints each). Before the summer break, nine more proposals were developed, which are published under two headings:
Proposed solutions 1 to 15 Proposed solutions 16 to ...
In cycle 5, the working groups have dealt with processes and measures of study programme development. The second solution proposal in the cycle deals with proposals for freeing up space for the development of new teaching-learning formats, with a separate proposal dedicated to experimental spaces for innovative teaching-learning formats.
In cycle 6, after two previously published solution proposals on the topic, Open Educational Resources (OER) were once again on the agenda. This time, the working group set about developing a concept for a handout on the use of OER at the TU Dresden. The second solution proposal in cycle 6 looked for incentive systems for participation in continuing education courses in higher education didactics. The project plan also included the development of a TUD-wide set of interdisciplinary key qualifications.
To this end, another work assignment was carried out in cycle 7, which deals with the establishment and review of a process for revising key qualification sets. The second proposed solution in the cycle deals with the conceptual understanding of research-oriented teaching at the TU Dresden. The evaluation of courses and the euration of possibilities to increase the response rate formed the third work assignment.
As always, the university public is invited to comment on the published proposals and provide feedback to the teaching strategy team. The contact form can be used for this purpose or you can send us an e-mail.
Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Michael Kobel expresses his gratitude to the members of the working group in particular for their great efforts: "We have been able to accompany the development of 21 proposals in seven cycles and I am looking forward to the detailed elaboration of the proposals that have already been or will be recommended for further work by the Teaching Strategy Board." By the end of the year three more cycles for the working groups will have taken place in which up to nine more proposals will be developed. "I would like to thank everyone involved for their patient and intensive cooperation and the very good creative ideas and approaches to further optimizing teaching at TU Dresden."
