On May 19, 2025, a university-wide workshop was held to help shape TU Dresden's future core competence set. A total of 38 people from all status groups - including students, administrative and technical staff, teaching support staff, lecturers and professors - actively participated in the event.
The focus was on the evaluation of individual competencies, which were voted on for inclusion in the core competency set using the systemic consensus method. The individual competencies were compiled by the teaching strategy team. It is based on a proposed solution from a teaching strategy working group, a comparison with examples of good practice and international frameworks (EU, OECD, UNESCO) and in-depth literature research.
With the successful completion of the workshop, a further milestone of the teaching strategy has been reached, which contributes to the implementation of the action plan for the introduction of a binding core competence set at TU Dresden.
The results of the consultation and the comprehensive individual feedback from the participants will be evaluated by the teaching strategy team in a next step. The draft will then be presented to the university committees.
