German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) – AudiT
"internationalised university"
Based on the strong conviction that only an internationalised university can take an active part in shaping the globalisation process and guarantee its competitiveness, the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) decided to establish the Audit “Internationalisation of Universities” in 2009.
The aim is to help German universities approach the internationalisation process strategically, according to their needs and to anchor it firmly within the institution.
Between 2010 and 2011 TU Dresden took part in the Audit.
The Audit “Internationalisation of Universities” provides an independent and systematic internationalisation advice, which is tailored to suit the specific profile of each university:
- an assessment of the university’s current state of internationality
- the identification or definition of the university’s internationalisation goals
- the (further) development of an institutional internationalisation strategy
- recommendations for specific measures in defined areas of internationalisation
Since 2014 TU Dresden partakes in the process of re-auditing. Over a period of three years it offers the TU Dresden an accompanying monitoring for its internationalisation process and in conclusion an external assessment of the implementation success. Upon completion, the TUD receives a seal of participation, to certify that our institution has systematically pursued its internationalisation process within the re-audit and has committed itself to achieving the self-defined internationalisation objectives.
