The Citizens' University of TU Dresden and the Dresden Seniors' Academy e.V. introduce their events from October to February
The dates of over 300 events of the Dresden Seniors' Academy will be published online on September 13, 2023. You can register in person at the Hygiene Museum as of September 25, 2023. In addition to traditional lectures, there will also be workshops and guided tours as part of the broadly diversified program, which begins on October 16, 2023.
For more than 20 years, the Dresden Seniors' Academy has offered a diverse range of events, especially for older people, to bridge gaps in knowledge, to satisfy your curiosity or start enjoying the arts. TUD is also home to the Citizens’ University, welcoming visitors to attend lectures. Anyone interested will have the opportunity to attend lectures on biology, medicine, history from the Middle Ages to modern times, East Asian studies, architecture between Notre Dame and the Semperoper, astrophysics, the history of literature, marketing, and climate research.
In addition, numerous workshops on digital technology will enable participants to navigate the internet competently and learn about the latest communication methods. Participants will not only gain insight into the current state of science, but will also discover craft businesses such as watch manufacturers, an industrial bookbindery, and a machine factory for label production.
