Didactic comment: Media are part of our everyday lives. In civic education, the aim is to learn how to use them appropriately. We also talk about media literacy, which enables us to classify and understand media or even produce them ourselves. But sometimes, unnoticed, we put ourselves through quite a lot in the automatisms of our everyday lives. Bad images, postings and news come flooding in. And then you find yourself doomscrolling again or giving in to the incentives to buy. You can quickly get the feeling that everything is too much and you can no longer keep up. How are you supposed to have the strength to stand up to contradictions in digital spaces and not let false or inhumane statements stand? Where do we start? Perhaps with our own usage behavior.
Whenever participants need to reflect on their own media usage behavior and learn more about their media usage behavior in order to incorporate it into the next steps.
What else do I need? The poster is suitable for a point survey. This can be done with sticky dots or (even better in this case) simply with Eddings or markers.
