Project H: Modern History
"Invective as an emotional mobilization from the Weimar Republic to National Socialism, 1924-1938"
What made Hitler attractive for so many Germans? How did the Nazis win millions of voters and finally gained power? The project analyses invective practices to understand the transgression from democracy to dictatorship. Invectives are used to capture the experiences and feelings of contemporaries in order to capture emotional mobilization, radicalization and increasing violence.
