Just write. Time to write for professors
Finally write in peace! This offer is intended for those authors who are looking for a space in which they can advance their academic text production undisturbed. The writing retreat is professionally supervised by an experienced writing consultant and editor as well as a member of staff from the Center for Continuing Education. You can bring, work on and discuss both German and English writing projects of any kind.
In the premises of the Windmühle Seifhennersdorf, a large, bright room with several writing workstations is available to you in addition to your own room. Individual writing consultations are held in a separate room. If you like to socialize, you can sit together with the other participants in the evening in the cosy farmhouse parlour with a drink of your choice. The in-house garden and the extensive meadows and woods surrounding the windmill provide plenty of opportunities for exercise and relaxation.
You benefit from...
- a quiet environment for concentrated work,
- a structured daily routine,
- professional writing support* (in German or English) as required,
- free drinks during the day,
- regular, guided exercise sessions with views of the Upper Lusatian mountain landscape.
*How does writing support work?
As authors, professors have a wealth of experience in writing academic texts. The interruption of this production process is only justified in this context if it is individually desired and enables the author to continue working in a more motivated, result-oriented or efficient manner.
The writing support offered for the writing retreat in the form of impulses and advice therefore aims to
1. strengthen the perception and reflection of writing obstacles,
2. encourage the sharing of functional and the discarding of dysfunctional writing strategies,
3. support the further development of existing writing strategies and the development of new ones.
