How can the Staff Council support you?
Wherever a lot of people are involved with each other, there are bound to be human conflicts from time to time. If this gives rise to (serious) conflicts between employees or with superiors, the Staff Council will provide you with information on your rights and obligations arising from the employment relationship. In addition, there is the possibility of accompanying and supporting you in personnel discussions.
If you are concerned that your rights as an employee are being violated, if you are worried about something at work or if you are having problems, you are also welcome to contact us. We advise and support you on all questions concerning the workplace, the employment contract and working hours, protection against overwork, vacation, classification, threatening steps under labor law, such as warning letters, and much more.
The TU Dresden is the largest employer in the region. As a result, the staff council usually learns about existing grievances or problems very late, sometimes even too late. Therefore, please do not hesitate to contact the staff council at an early stage. The staff council is always open to suggestions and complaints from employees and has an obligation to follow them up.

In principle, the Staff Council would like to contribute with its ideas to a better working atmosphere or to a solution of problems and to ensure that you get your rights. In doing so, the Staff Council can suggest courses of action and make recommendations. We also know our limits: The Staff Council cannot provide legal or therapeutic advice, but we do know the right person to contact or can point you to a supportive counseling center.
When you contact the Staff Council, the seal of confidentiality and secrecy is placed over it. If we are to become involved with third parties, this will only be done at your express request. Consultation with the Staff Council is considered working time.
Due to the current corona situation, personal consultations with the Staff Council will, until further notice, preferably take place by e-mail, telephone or video. In the office, we are on site daily with emergency staffing.
