Short description : Artificial intelligence is a forward-looking and rapidly developing field. It is therefore of great importance that prospective teachers familiarize themselves with current technologies and trends in order to best prepare students for the challenges of the digital world. However, the use of artificial intelligence also offers teachers themselves the opportunity to reduce the organizational effort in everyday school life. On the other hand, students are already actively engaging with AI applications and using them for schoolwork and essays, for example. It is therefore essential that teachers are aware of the possible uses of AI in order to develop a critical awareness of the opportunities and risks among their students. As part of their courses at TU Dresden, the Advisors have developed a series of workshops ("How artificial intelligence could positively change the school of tomorrow - opportunities, challenges, risks") that offer future teachers concrete starting points in this subject area. After an overview of the fields of application of artificial intelligence in the school context, they will present their sub-projects. Among other things, an application area will be presented in which artificial intelligence can be used specifically in German lessons to interpret poetry. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas. - The event is held in german language -
