The first part of the workshop "WikiWomen in science: creating visibility, sharing stories" offers the opportunity to get to know Wikipedia and its structures. 

• What is Wikipedia - background information on its creation, development, author structure and article inventory, among other things
• How to write articles in Wikipedia - basics, registration, user namespace, etc.
• Concrete look at article work: article structure, sources, relevance criteria, especially for scientists, look at the people who should receive articles & creation of the respective work pages

If you already have a historical or current female scientist (possibly even from the TUD?) in mind that you would definitely like to immortalise in Wikipedia - great! This is your opportunity to realise this project together with us. Steffi Eckold will explain the basics of Wikipedia and provide you with help and advice
