Project description
In the field of commercial aviation, the trend towards centralized and modular computing systems continues. The development of these computer units and systems leads to a further concentration of electronics at confined spaces, and thus to a variety of new issues that must be handled in this project.
Radio Propagation Simulation in an aircrafts cabin with passengers
Tasks of ITVS
In the sub-project HyWAYs (Hybrid Health and Usage Monitoring), a wireless sensor network will be deployed within an aircraft cabin, in order to detect various sensor data and to control actuators. The chair of transport systems information technology supports the development of this sensor network supports the professorship of the information technology for traffic systems, in the fields of radio planning and positioning of the sensor nodes as well as identification of errors through implementation of counter-measures in the area of jamming and interference.
