Change of University
If you are already studying at another university and would like to change and continue your studies at TU Dresden, you have to apply for your desired degree programme and the desired semester via our „Application Site“ within the set deadlines. Please note that for applications for a higher semester for degree programmes with restricted access (so-called NC - "numerus clausus”) the precedent NC-deadline applies.
If you have already been enrolled at a German university in the same degree programme, you will be enrolled, ex officio, into the next higher semester corresponding to the study time which you have already completed. When applying, you should indicate the appropriate semester, in which you would like to continue your studies. (see §6 paragraph of the TU Dresden Admissions Regulations)
If you would like to change your degree programme, you can either apply for a study start in the 1st semester or choose to apply for a higher semester, provided that your academic achievements and completed semesters are accepted as credits. For a change to a higher semester please consult our advice regarding the procedures for changing degree courses.

We will support you with all your concerns or forward you or your request to the Admissions Office, the International Office or the respective branch offices at the Faculty of Medicine.
