Triggerwarnung: Diese Vorlesungsreihe thematisiert Gewalt und Diskriminierung aufgrund von Gender, Herkunft, Race, Religion, … u.A. eingehend und kann daher belastend und retraumatisierend sein. Falls für euch der Besuch einzelner Veranstaltungen deshalb nicht möglich ist, wendet euch gerne an uns und wir werden eine vertrauensvolle Lösung für die Klausur finden.
Koloniale Strukturen und Machtasymmetrien prägen bis heute auf verschiedenste Weise weltweit unsere Gesellschaften – oft ohne, dass wir uns dessen, insbesondere im globalen Norden, unbedingt bewusst sind. Daher ist es so wichtig, die postkoloniale Perspektive in der Art, wie wir die Welt sehen, zu stärken. Dazu möchte die neue Ringvorlesung der Hochschulgruppe Gender Equality Now. (GENOW.) beitragen, die sich dem Thema Postkolonialismus unter Einbeziehung eines intersektional-feministischen Blickwinkels widmen wird. Gemeinsam mit wöchentlich wechselnden Referierenden werden wir in den drei Clustern „Forschung und Wissen“, „Politik und Ökonomie“ und „Kultur und Gesellschaft“ vielfältige Teilaspekte näher betrachten, um ein tieferes Verständnis für intersektionale Konzepte mit einem besonderen Fokus auf den Postkolonialismus zu gewinnen. Als Einstieg in die Thematik werden wir uns zunächst damit auseinandersetzen, was Postkolonialismus genau ist, was er mit Feminismus zu tun hat und welche Bedeutung in diesem Zusammenhang Intersektionalität hat. Auf dieser Basis aufbauend steigen wir im Cluster “Forschung und Wissen” in eine kritische Betrachtung epistemologischer Macht, unseres Wissens über verschiedene Lebensrealitäten und mangelnder Repräsentation in der Forschung ein. Im darauffolgenden Cluster “Politik und Ökonomie” befassen wir uns mit den Problemen des White Saviorism, der Konfliktbearbeitung, globaler Ausbeutungsketten und der Klimakrise, die untrennbar mit dem Postkolonialismus verbunden sind. Abschließend sollen im Cluster “Kultur und Gesellschaft” die Auswirkungen der Kolonialisierung auf weibliche* Lebensrealitäten aufgezeigt und postkoloniale Perspektiven auf Körperbilder sowie Religion, Kultur und auch moderne Städte erörtert werden.
